“La prima cosa che salta all’occhio (anzi, all’orecchio) quando si ascolta iDoomenicus è il genere di doom nel quale possono inserirsi, molto difficile da trovare. Dopo una leggera intro atmosferica, infatti, si viene travolti da un riffing di chitarra che se da un lato è molto più pesante di quello tipico del classic doom anni ’80, dall’altro è decisamente diverso da come potrebbe essere un suono che si è soliti chiamare “funeral”. Le chitarre sono fredde e ribassate, ricordano i migliori Saint Vitus, e lo stesso può dirsi per l’attitudine; tuttavia l’atmosfera generale è molto più depressa e si inebria di immagini gotiche e ancestrali.”
“The first thing that catches your eye (or rather, ear) when you listen to the Doomenicus is the kind of doom in which they can fit in, very hard to find. After a slight atmospheric intro, in fact, one is swept away by a guitar riffing that if one side is much heavier than is typical of the classic ’80s doom, on the other hand is quite different from how it might be a sound that is used to be called “funeral”. The guitars are cold and lowered, reminiscent of the best Saint Vitus, and the same can be said for the attitude, but the overall atmosphere is much more depressed and intoxicates you with gothic images and ancestral.” – whitemetal.it
